No Money. Mo Problems.
Welcome back honey! My economics teacher asked us what the answer to 99 out of 100 questions was… Give up?It's Money. I’m inclined to believe him. It seems like a lot of the excuses here on A Good Excuse Blog are related to money. Probably because so many aspects of our daily lives revolve around cash or a lack of it. I know that I could use a little more. My bank thinks so too because they just sent me an over-draft notification.
Ordinary when I’m in a tough situation, I’d just toss out one of my stock excuses, but banks are harder to give excuses to. Their business depends on fees from customers, so they are not likely to give your money back to you without a good reason. Also, since banks have all your spending information right there on the screen, they will know if you lie about spending money at the drug store for your mom’s medicine when in reality you went to the movies with your friends. These are only two excuses I have for the tricky subject of Bank-Over Draft Excuses. Both of these excuses will require you to put money in your account to cover the amount that you are negative, but you should be able to get the overdraft fee back.
Here are some frugal excuses for "Over-Drafting Your Bank Account"
Whoops: I think one of my debits accidentally went through as a credit at (store) so my available balance showed higher than it really until that charge cleared.
Keep Your Receipt: The last deposit I made at the ATM didn’t print out account statement for me so I didn’t realize my account was so low.
